Three bells hung under a pagoda roof, with the bagua above.
In feng shui the metal element is what moves still air. A chime is hung at a threshold so that each time the door opens or the wind turns, the sound goes through the house ahead of whoever comes in. The bagua, the eight trigrams kept over doorways, is the sign used to turn trouble away before it reaches the room.
The bells are small, so what you get is a chime rather than a toll. Hung on a balcony, a back veranda, or just inside the front door where the draught catches it. About 45 to 60cm long.
