Geometric Ox Figurine

An ox in flat, folded planes, with its horns swept wide.

The ox is the animal of patient work in Chinese tradition, the one that turns the field before anything can grow, and it is kept in the home for steady earnings and for a household that holds its ground. Ox figures are also set out for a Year of the Ox, or given to someone born in one, as a reminder that their year favours the long haul. It suits a desk in a home office, or the shelf of someone building a business the slow way.
