Golden Glass Yuanbao Ingot

A gold ingot in clear amber glass, stamped with the character 福.

The yuanbao (元宝) is the boat-shaped ingot that was China's currency for centuries, and it is still the shape money takes in a feng shui room: on the god of wealth's tray, in a wealth bowl, at the feet of a Pixiu. This one is cast in yellow K9 glass, deep enough to catch a lamp, with a raised 福, good fortune, on the face. At 11cm it sits comfortably in a palm.

Often bought in threes for a new shop, or one at a time as a Lunar New Year gift.

Placement: the wealth corner of a room, far left as you enter, a cash drawer or till, or in front of a wealth figure.
