Matte Obsidian Pixiu Necklace

The pixiu (貔貅) is the wealth guardian of Chinese feng shui, a winged creature said to feed on gold and silver and, having no way to let it out, to keep every bit of fortune it draws in. The matte carving leaves the mane, the wings and the coin under its foot reading in relief instead of glare, and the stone looks closer to what it is, volcanic glass.

Worn at the chest rather than the wrist, it sits under a shirt as easily as over one. Often bought for someone opening a business or taking on a bigger role, and for a man who would not wear a bracelet.
