A phurba, the three-sided ritual dagger, carved in cinnabar.

Cinnabar has been worn for centuries as a stone of protection and vitality, its deep red kept close to the skin to invite good fortune and hold it.

In Tibetan practice the phurba is not a weapon but a tool for pinning obstruction in place so it can be dealt with. Worn small, it is kept as a form for resolve, the ornate head giving way to a clean, grounded point.
