Pixiu Spinner Ring

A gold pixiu (貔貅) on a silver band that turns.

The pixiu is the wealth guardian of Chinese feng shui, a winged creature said to feed on gold and silver and, having no way to let it out again, to keep every piece of fortune it draws toward its wearer. It has been worn as a personal charm for centuries on that promise: what comes in, stays.

Here it rides a textured outer band that spins on the inner ring, a design the Chinese call lu lu tong, every road open, and one that gives the hand something to do in a long meeting. The band is open at the back, so it gives a little either way.

Made in a larger and a smaller size, it is often bought as a pair.
