A rough cluster of pyrite, the mineral once mistaken for gold.
Pyrite is iron sulphide, and it grows in cubes, so a raw piece is all small square faces catching light at different angles. Prospectors called it fool's gold. Feng shui takes the resemblance seriously: a metal-element stone the colour of coin, kept for drawing wealth in, and, because it is hard and reflective, as a guard that turns ill will back the way it came.
Each cluster is shaped by nothing but how it grew, no two with the same faces. It suits a desk, a cash drawer, or the shelf a business owner passes on the way in.
Placement: the wealth corner of a room, the far left as you enter, or on a work desk.
