A bar of shungite, faceted and pointed at both ends.
Polished, shungite goes from a dull coal-black to something closer to gunmetal, with a soft shine that does not flash. It is the same carbon rock from Karelia that is usually sold raw, here cut to a long bar, square in section, with pyramid ends, so it hangs straight and catches a little light along each edge. The tradition around shungite is a protective one, a stone kept for grounding and for steadiness, the dark counterpart to the clear quartz point.
Bought as often for men as for women, worn on the cord it comes on or moved to a chain, usually as the one piece they wear every day.
