Smoky Quartz Point Ring

A raw smoky quartz point, bound with wire to an open band.

Smoky quartz is the darker cousin of clear quartz, coloured by natural radiation in the ground. It has long been kept for grounding and for letting go of what is finished, the stone people reach for at the end of a hard stretch rather than the start of one. The crystal is wrapped rather than set, so the wire holds it without hiding its natural faces.

The band is open at the back and eases wider or tighter by hand. Every point is a different shape and length, so yours will not match the photograph exactly.
