A crab in polished steel, claws raised over its shell.
In Chinese painting the crab is a wish for first place. Its shell is called jia (甲), the same word as the top grade in the old imperial exams, so a crab was given to anyone about to be tested. It also walks its own way, sideways and armoured, and is not easily moved once it has set its feet.
The pendant is sold on its own, to hang from a chain you already wear. Chosen for someone sitting a final exam, a licence test, or a job interview they mean to win.
- Pendant: polished stainless steel, supplier lists titanium steel, unconfirmed
- Chain: not included
