Three beckoning cats carved in cinnabar, strung one above the other on a black cord.
Cinnabar is the fire-red stone of the Chinese tradition, long worn to guard vitality and keep good fortune close. Its colour alone was considered protective, the red that meets whatever the day brings.
The beckoning cat calls luck and custom across the threshold. Here there are three, each with a paw raised, because three is the number the tradition reaches for when one blessing is not quite enough: growth, continuity, things gathering rather than passing.
A charm for someone building something that needs to keep coming, a business, a following, a household. Clip it to a bag, a set of keys or the rear-view mirror.
